Prices gave us the opportunity to take part in sports that before going there that I wouldn’t have even dreamed of. A number of them became later habits, such as skiing, sailing and Judo.
Professionally I ran sports centres, gyms and swimming pools and ended up building them and athletics tracks as well as winning the Sports Council Management Award for the best in the UK. (There was no money in flying historic aircraft at airshows - it all went into the aeroplanes like the Hurricane and not to me - so I had to earn my living elsewhere). The sports thing has stayed with me for life: American Football, Skydiving and I am now mountain biking most days when I’m in the country or not flying and also for years have taught Kendo - Japanese sword fighting.
That sports spark from Prices certainly lasted a long time.
